Commissioning Engineer
Location: Melbourne, FL (On the road)
Postion: Full-Time
Work Schedule: Flexible
Main objective
Responsible for commissioning and overseeing the installation of systems, plants and equipment for work properly and meet the client’s needs.
Roles & Responsibilities
These responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Making improvements to, and offering advice about, operational procedures

Scheduling and coordinating work to tight deadlines
-
Ensuring that equipment works to its specification (configuration, speeds, rates, flow)

Creating and carrying out test procedures
-
Investigating problems and diagnosing and repairing faults
-
Troubleshooting
-
Liaising with installation/project engineers
-
Supervising engineering and technical staff
-
Writing reports and documentation
-
Providing technical support
-
Ensuring safe working conditions
-
Training maintenance and operative staff where appropriate.
Qualifications & Requirements
-
Years of relevant experience: 4 years
-
Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechatronics, or controls engineering.
-
80% travel, implementing, testing, and debugging their design solution. Occasionally travel to South America or Canada
-
A typical DC will have conveyors with approximately 100-250 controlling motors
-
Applicant must be a good communicator, be poised under pressure, and be able to work directly with end customers

Must be familiar with PLC-type control and PC based flow-chart controls
-
Knowledge of HMI and machine control, with specific experience in Microsoft .NET, MS SQL Server, Beckhoff (TwinCAT) controls software, and OPC

Must be familiar with and able to use AutoCad

Must have good knowledge of PCs and Windows operating system

Physical Demands
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 51 lbs.
- Comfortable with heights i.e., ladders, high mezzanines, scissor lifts.
- Tolerance to perform the job in high temperature i.e., second floor mezzanine in an un-air-condition warehouse.
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Eye and Face Protection, Respirator)
