Project Accountant Support - Colombia

Location: Colombia

Position: Full-time (remote)

Work Schedule: M-F 8:00 am – 5:30 pm 

Main Objective

Supports projects with overall accounting and financial activities to measure and monitor project financial performance.

 

Role and Responsibilities
These responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Maintains project level accounts.
  • Completes all postings, allocations, accruals and payments for the project.
  • Prepares and distributes monthly reports on project status including budget and forecasting for project reviews.
  • Coordinates with project accountants to reflect changes in project scope or timeline.
  • Prepares final project closeout. 
  • Set up projects, extra work orders, transfers or other amendments according to contract terms
  • Review contracts for accounting specific requirements and ensure timely completion of all specialized client billing needs.
  • Review project labor and expenses to ensure accurate posting to projects
  • Follow through on all billing related issues to resolution
  • Work closely with project accountants to ensure accurate and consistent financial reporting and project billing
  • Invoice clients on a monthly basis
  • Respond to client, vendor, or staff inquiries in a timely fashion
  • Assist Accounting staff with follow up on past due invoices
  • Handle project audits as they arise
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Years of relevant experience: 3 - 5 years of related experience
Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
Experience with managing large and complex projects
Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
Familiarity with ERP system (Microsoft Navision) is a plus
Intermediate English level
May required some travel to the US
Valid passport
