Logistics Consultant

Location: Remote in US

Position: Full-Time

Main Objective

Responsible for the Software delivery scope during the sales phase (including full Element Logic Software portfolio as well as Supplier PLC requirements and interface specifications)

 

Role and Responsibilities

These responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide assistance to sales teams and act as a liaison between sales rep and internal departments such as Systems Engineering and Software & Controls.
  • Identify areas of improvement and recommend business solutions to achieve long-term goals and objectives and determine strategies to meet customer demands. 
  • Responsible for Element Logic’s product suite within the sales process from lead to contract.
  • SW/IT workshops explaining and demonstrating our applications
  • Driving, owning and leading is customer workshops the split of functionality including interface definitions between Element Logic Software delivery and Host (WMS) including other relevant Software
  • Contribute to preparing client deliverables (e.g. business documents and presentations)
  • Proactively strive to ensuring and selling a standardized Software delivery 
  • Sale support
  • Processes and integration definition and deviations
  • Review related appendices in the contracts
  • Maintain and update documentation of process overviews, details, and process flows
  • Document deviations from standard solution
  • Owning and driving the requirements definition, functional description documentation, cost calculation as well as resource planning and anchoring with internal stakeholders
  • Create process design and development recommendations to standardize, improve, or redesign processes to meet business needs
  • Working in close collaboration (as per of the sales team) with solution designers making sure the layout is aligned with the software delivery
  • Present requirements and development tasks
  • Communicate with customers to assist in developing effective process vision, process strategy and process maturation
  • Being self-managing when it comes to staying on top of and in the forefront of our overall software portfolio and its development and evolution
  • Actively looking for new additional requirements improving our overall software portfolio as well as communicating to relevant stakeholders internally
  • Being self-managing when it comes to staying on top of and in the forefront of our overall software portfolio and IT development and evolution.
  • Being the ambassador internally (in addition to externally) for our overall software portfolio 


Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Education: BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related Field (4-year degree)
  • Graduate Degree MS or MBA preferred
  • Experience: 6+ years’ experience selling automated material handling solutions
  • Willingness to travel: travel of 30%
  • Knowledge
  • Excellent knowledge of material handling technologies and how they are applied
  • Ability to lead a solution development team, detailed design process
  • Knowledge of complex data sets and data analysis processes related to this industry, and ability to explain summarized data analysis to clients
  • Ability to lead detailed design process, both internally & externally
  • Prior AutoStore experience preferred
