Software Developer Jr
Location: Melbourne, FL
Position: Full-time (Travel)
Work Schedule: M-F 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Main Objective
Develop software following established intermediate scrum methodology; coordinate specific development work assignments with the supervisor. The primary area of responsibility is developing SQL solutions for automation systems in particular: host interface, sortation, statistics, and machine diagnostics.
Role and Responsibilities
These responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Employ software development tools to identify, specifics task assignments, record work accomplished and coordinate development efforts with other developers with whom assigned software responsibilities interface.
Perform unit testing on completed software, support integration of completed software with other modules & support integration testing.
Present completed software during end-of-spring reviews, demonstrating satisfaction of software requirements.
Build and maintain documentation for both internal and customer documents. i.e Host Interface documentation, function specifications documentation, coding standard documentation, build from scratch documentation.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Years of relevant experience: 0-2 years
Demonstrated experience with SQL Server (T-SQL), event-driven programming techniques or interfacing with other equipment controllers (robot, cranes, conveyors, etc.) is a definite plus.
Significant knowledge of some if not most of the following:
- C#
- JSON
- XML
- TCP/socket communication
- HTML
- Working VM’s
Experience with MS SQL and databases
Experience in installation / configuration / testing of software systems
Experience in consulting work
Good Microsoft office skills
Willing to travel up to 40%-70% of the time within the USA or Latam

Physical Demands
Must be able to lift/carry up to 51 lbs.
Comfortable with heights i.e., ladders, high mezzanines, scissor lifts.
Tolerance to perform the job in high temperature i.e., second floor mezzanine in an un-air-conditioned warehouse.
Standing – Remaining on one’s feet constantly.
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Eye and Face Protection, Respirator)
