Structural Engineer - Colombia
Location: Colombia
Position: Full-time
Work Schedule: M-F 8:00 am – 5:30 pm
Main Objective
Verify and validate structural integrity calculations for all support and structural applications required by the engineering department.
Role and Responsibilities
These responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Apply engineering criteria in order to suggest viable structural solutions for company projects
• Design and model preliminary proposals in AutoCAD or Inventor for PM and client validation
• Simulate and verify structural integrity through RISA software and other finite element analysis tools
• Select structural members and elements keeping local codes and regulations in mind
• Coordinate and follow through with permit package submission processes
• Participate in training given by the Engineering team in terms of the software and the Engineering processes.
• Participate in company projects throughout the Americas region (USA, Canada and LATAM)
• Interact with the US and LATAM engineering team
Qualifications and Education Requirements

Qualifications and Education Requirements
• Bilingual (Advanced English level – Spanish)
• A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Structural or Industrial Engineering
• Experience: 3 years of experience in similar roles
• Software Skills: RISA, Autodesk AutoCAD (2D), Autodesk Inventor(3D), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint),Office 365.
• Knowledge of simulation of structural and mechanical systems would be a plus
